Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• 1 year hospital or health care experience in registration or business office preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary receptionist for all incoming patients to the department.
• Verify demographic and insurance information and enter into EMR modules.
• Collect co-pays and payments following EMTALA regulations for ED patients.
• Print visit summaries and appointment cards as needed.
• Handle all incoming calls and paging for the department.
• Scan insurance cards and relevant documents for the medical record.
