The role emphasizes front-end revenue cycle activities (registrations, eligibility checks, and co-pay collection) and requires strong attention to detail, customer service, and communication skills within a busy healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• 1 year of healthcare, behavioral health, dental, customer service or related administrative experience.
• Knowledge of SEARHC services and Alaska tribal health organizations.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages scheduling resources for patient appointments.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and pre-authorization requirements.
• Performs pre-registration review for insurance verification for upcoming appointments.
• Creates new patient profiles in the EHR with accurate demographic data.
• Collects payments including co-pays or upfront payments.
• Communicates with patients and care teams via multiple channels.
• Cross-trains for assigned coverage as needed.
• Maintains a clean and safe working environment and compliance with competencies.
