Job summary

Prime Healthcare's Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, IL is seeking a Patient Account Registrar to interview patients or their representatives, collect demographics, and secure insurance details.

You will work with the Admitting department, input data on a computer, communicate with diverse patient populations, and handle special projects within assigned timeframes. Full-time position with days shift and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospital admissions is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and meet timelines.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Customer service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients or representatives to collect demographics.
• Secure insurance information, eligibility, benefits and authorizations as applicable.
• Coordinate with Admitting department (PBX and reception) functions.
• Input and retrieve data using a computer; communicate with diverse populations.
• Complete special projects within designated timeframes.
