Wayne Memorial Hospital - Jesup, GA is seeking a Registrar to accurately register Inpatient and Outpatient types in the facility's systems. You will collect demographic and billing data, sequence insurance, and maintain MPI integrity while upholding confidentiality.

The role requires excellent communication, attention to detail, and proficiency with hospital information systems. Cross-training in Admissions or ER is expected to support patient flow and departmental coordination.

Qualifications

• Requires computer literacy and ability to operate hospital information systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows and Office suites is essential.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage confidential patient information and HIPAA compliance.
• Experience in hospital/medical office settings preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Register patients accurately in ER or Admissions and collect demographic and billing data.
• Verify insurance and sequence primary and subsequent carriers.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Manage cash, write receipts, and balance cash drawer.
• Prepare logs and forward charts to appropriate departments.
• Cross-train to cover Admissions or ER as needed.
• Communicate scheduling, room assignments, and diagnosis information to staff.
