Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in office management or health information management.
• High School Diploma or GED; post-secondary education or associate degree preferred.
• Must complete outpatient registration program and pass exam with 80% or higher.

Responsibilities

• Register patients by validating demographics and payer information.
• Collect prepayments and co-pays as defined by insurance.
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits in the system (EHR/OnBase).
• Direct patients to financial counseling when payer sources are not identified.
• Maintain accuracy of data and operate in EHR and related systems.
