Job summary

Reid Health is seeking a Patient Access Registrar for the Outpatient Care Center. This full-time role handles patient registration, verifies demographics and insurance in Soarian/Epic, collects payments at POS, and guides patients to financial assistance resources.

The position acts as the first point of contact at the hospital entrance. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, strong insurance knowledge, order transcription experience, and excellent people skills to communicate

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Good knowledge of insurances and coverage.
• Order transcription experience is a plus.
• Strong people skills and customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Register patients in Epic for outpatient services (OP Lab/OP Radiology).
• Collect payments due at Point of Service and post to accounts.
• Explain payment plans and assist with financial assistance as needed.
• Refer patients to Claim Aid for Medicaid or other payors.
• Open cash drawers and balance at end of shift.
