Responsibilities

• Registers patients into the health information system by interviewing patients to gather and process demographic, insurance and visit related information.
• Verifies insurance and coordinates with pre-authorization team to ensure insurance authorization and financial clearance.
• Collects patient payment and communicates financial responsibility; refers to Financial Advocate as needed.
• Obtains patient/signature on consent and registration-related forms; completes registration quality audit worklists.
