Qualifications

• 1 year of Customer Service or healthcare registration is required (or equivalent).
• Registrar and third-party payor experience preferred.
• Hospital patient access or billing or medical office receptionist experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of office equipment incl. printers and fax machines.
• Proficiency in MS Office and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Capture demographic and insurance information in the Medical Record system accurately and timely.
• Prepare and coordinate distribution of patient information to nursing units and ancillary departments.
• Collect patient co-payments, pre-payments and payments due.
• Collaborate with the clinical team in the emergency room setting.
