Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center in Safford, AZ is seeking an Admissions Clerk to arrange efficient patient registration under the Director of Admissions.

You will coordinate insurance verification, AHCCCS benefits and authorizations, and audit registrations for data accuracy, acting as a resource to the medical center. You will respond to inquiries from physicians, insurers, patients, and government representatives, review bills and charges for accuracy, correctly identify demographics,

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to type with acceptable speed and accuracy.
• Proficient use of microcomputers, 10-key calculators and office equipment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and HIPAA/EMTALA awareness.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with staff, patients and providers.
• Registration accuracy rate of 88% minimum or better.

Responsabilités

• Arrange efficient patient registration under the Director of Admissions.
• Coordinate insurance verification, AHCCCS, benefits and authorizations.
• Audit registrations for data accuracy and assist across the medical center.
• Respond to inquiries from physicians, insurers, patients and government reps.
• Review bills/charges for accuracy; perform data entry and clerical duties.
