SGMC Health is seeking a Patient Access Services associate to schedule and register inpatient and outpatient procedures. You will verify benefits, enter patient data, and coordinate referrals to ensure smooth patient access.

Strong attention to detail and customer service are essential in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10 will help you navigate complex insurance requirements.

Qualifications

• PC and Windows literacy required.
• Experience with insurance/managed care is highly valued.
• Knowledge of CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10 terminology is helpful.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Ability to type ~40 wpm and manage workload efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Schedule inpatient and outpatient procedures and register patients.
• Verify insurance benefits and enter patient demographics and financial data.
• Process PayNav tasks and conduct cost estimates where needed.
• Coordinate referrals and respond to SGMC Health emails and calls.
• Maintain accuracy and meet productivity/accuracy metrics.
