Job summary

Fort Washington Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare, is looking for an experienced Patient Access Registrar I to join the Patient Access Department. You will register patients, collect demographics and insurance information, and ensure accurate data entry at arrival for appointments.

This part-time night-shift role offers 24 hours per week, competitive pay in the $19.21–$24.90 per hour range, and comprehensive benefits, including health coverage and retirement plans, with opportunities

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a healthcare setting.
• At least 1 year experience in patient registration and/or eligibility and benefits.
• Knowledge of government payer rules and regulations.
• Knowledge of TPLs, workers' compensation, and other payment sources and liabilities.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register and pre-register patients upon arrival.
• Enter all demographic, insurance, and patient notes accurately.
• Process, balance and post daily patient payments.
• Verify and update insurance information in the EHR.
• Greet and assist visitors/patients and respond to requests in person or by phone.
• Provide administrative support to the Patient Access department.
