Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in business administration, office management, or related field preferred.
• 1 year of front desk, scheduling, and customer service experience in hospital/medical office preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records systems preferred.
• Basic knowledge of office equipment and computer programs.
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Able to lift 20 pounds often, push and pull at least 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist them at the front desk.
• Enter patient information into the hospital's medical records system.
• Process patient insurance forms and contact insurers when authorizations are needed.
• Schedule appointments and manage phone calls and front desk communications.
• Maintain waiting area and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Accept and post patient payments to accounts.
