Eskenazi Health in Indianapolis is seeking a Registrar to greet patients and support the clinic, ED, and hospital flow. You will verify demographics, insurance information, and eligibility, then initiate the registration in the OnBase Front Office system.

Strong attention to accuracy and customer service is essential. You will handle payments, coordinate with financial counseling, and maintain compliant records while adapting to a variety of patient ages and settings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year experience in business, office management or health information management.
• High School Diploma or GED with post-secondary education courses or certification in business, computers, and Office Management.
• Associate degree is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Proactively contributes to Eskenazi Health’s mission: Advocate, Care, Teach, and Serve with emphasis on Marion County residents.
• Registers patients by validating demographic information and payer sources and securing consent forms.
• Adheres to quality and productivity standards set by the department.
• Collects prepayments and co-pays as defined by insurance and balances cash drawer.
• Matches and retrieves patients from the EHR and supports multiple patient access areas.
• Follows downtime procedures with minimal supervision and communicates with staff professionally.
• Directs patients to financial counseling when needed and documents all interactions.

Formation

High School Diploma

GED with post-secondary education or certification in business, computers, and Office Management

Associate's degree preferred
