Job summary

Avow in Naples, FL seeks a Patient Access Specialist to support seamless transition into hospice services. You will coordinate referrals from hospitals, physicians, families, and facilities, schedule admissions, and enter patient data into the EMR with accuracy and care.

The role requires strong customer service, basic medical terminology, and the ability to work with diverse teams. Associates degree and healthcare experience preferred; bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required; 1–2 years related healthcare experience preferred.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate with diverse groups.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and EMR systems helpful.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary in-office contact for referrals and admissions.
• Schedule same-day or ASAP admissions and coordinate with Admissions Care Coordinators.
• Enter demographic and billing data into EMR for inquiries, referrals and admissions.
• Maintain relationships with referring physicians, hospitals, facilities, and families.
