Job summary

Genesis PrimeCare in Texarkana, TX is seeking a Referral Specialist to coordinate and facilitate patient referrals, authorizations, and pre-certifications. This role verifies insurance eligibility and benefits and ensures patients are cleared for referred services.

You will coordinate with patients, providers, insurance companies, hospitals, and other referral partners to support timely access to care, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate referral information.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of practice experience in a clinical office setting preferred.
• Licensed Vocational Nurse or Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Spanish speaking and writing skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate patient referrals and pre-certifications.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
• Coordinate with patients, providers, insurance companies, hospitals, and other referral partners to support timely access to care.
• Maintain accurate referral documentation and communicate referral and appointment information.
