Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking a Patient Access Representative for the Outpatient Rehab location in Fall River, MA. This per diem/On-site role supports patient intake, scheduling and coordination within Rehabilitation Services.

The position requires a strong customer-service focus, background in medical terminology, and at least three years of related medical office experience. Vaccination against flu and COVID-19 is required or exempt with signed documentation.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED required.
• Associate's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Proficient keyboarding skills.
• Computer experience required.
• Strong reasoning and critical thinking; able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional customer service skills required.
• Over three years of related medical office experience required.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 or eligible for exemption with signed statement.

• Under general supervision, perform a variety of office support and coordination of patient care processes.
• Follow Rehabilitation Services department policies and procedures.
• Support efficient patient flow and accurate record-keeping.
• Provide courteous, professional service to patients and families.
