Qualifikationen

• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and other commercial payers preferred.
• Typing skills with a minimum of 35 wpm and good communication skills.
• Associate or bachelor degree may be accepted in lieu of experience.

Aufgaben

• Assist in coordinating, prioritizing, and completing front-end patient registration from pre-registration through discharge.
• Ensure patient insurance verification is completed and all requirements are met.
• Accurately completes patient registrations per departmental protocols and compliance standards.
• Call patients to pre-register or confirm appointments.
• Prioritize work for optimal reimbursement and to minimize financial risk for patient and hospital.
• Inform patients of financial liability and collect liability due; refer uninsured patients as appropriate.
