Qualifications

• Applicants should have proven customer service experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; some college or healthcare classes are a plus.
• Experience in healthcare or front-desk administration is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Greets and registers patients and collects demographic and insurance information.
• Performs pre-registrations and schedules admissions in advance when possible.
• Coordinates verification of insurance information for reimbursement.
• Initiates collection of co-payments and handles cash transactions per policy.
• Maintains patient chart flow and filing following HIM procedures.
• Performs reception for PAT Lab, endoscopy and ED triage/discharge.
• Educates patients and obtains required signatures; supports patient satisfaction surveys.
• Identifies needs and supports growth and development; adheres to safety standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned to meet department goals.
