Job summary

Trinity Health in Michigan is seeking a part-time Customer Service/Registration specialist. You will perform outpatient and inpatient registration, verify insurance, and collect patient financial liability while delivering friendly, accurate information to patients and staff.

The role requires 1 year of customer service experience, HS Diploma or equivalent, strong data entry (50–60 keystrokes/min), and solid communication and time-management skills.

Qualifications

• The role requires at least 1 year of customer service experience and a HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong data entry ability (50–60 keystrokes per minute) and basic computer skills are essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, plus interpersonal skills for internal and external customers.
• Certification in HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA is required within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-focused customer service.
• Perform outpatient and/or inpatient registration and insurance verification.
• Collect patient financial liability payments and verify eligibility and requirements including Medicare and pre-certifications.
• Provide general information to hospital users, patients, families and physician offices.
