Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL is hiring a Patient Access Representative II for the Imaging Contact Center at Baptist Southbank Plaza. This full-time day shift role focuses on accurate registration, exceptional service, and smooth scheduling through multiple systems, helping patients from first contact through their visit.

Responsibilities include registering patients with complete demographics and insurance data, coordinating across PAS functions, and maintaining HIPAA-compliant privacy

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.
• Healthcare experience required.
• 1-2 years insurance experience required.
• Experience in hospital registration or patient access preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients accurately and efficiently with complete demographics, insurance, and registration information.
• Utilize multiple systems to support patient access and maintain accurate patient data.
• Cross-train and work across multiple Patient Access areas to support departmental needs.
• Provide service excellence through professional face-to-face and telephone interactions.
• Contribute to PAS goals and initiatives, including collections and other measures.
• Maintain knowledge of and comply with state and federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO.
• Ensure patient consent and privacy documentation are completed per HIPAA guidelines.
