Qualifications

• Experience registering patients in a fast-paced health system.
• Knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules and patient consent processes.
• Familiarity with EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO regulatory expectations.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients accurately and efficiently
• Utilization of multiple systems and interfaces
• Cross-Trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas
• Maintains service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters
• Contributes to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.)
• Possesses a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO
• Maintains a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members
• Able to articulate compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms
• Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
