Job summary

Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years of job experience.
  • 2 Year/Associate degree or 4 year/Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience in healthcare or business field preferred.
  • Ability to lead/direct others; strong analytical ability.
  • Knowledge of registration, insurance, scheduling, and/or verification and hospital billing.
  • Demonstrated advanced usage of AI and management of teams using AI for process and technological improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the patient access/pre-access team.
  • Coordinate registration and pre-registration duties.
  • Provide staff training, coaching, education, and performance feedback.
  • Monitor productivity and communicate with staff.
  • Track and review department KPIs, including point of service, wait times, overtime, and productivity.
  • Assign and coordinate staff schedules, rotations, time off, and call-offs.
  • Track and monitor upfront collection processes; assign goals and provide coaching or corrective action.
  • Participate in on‑call rotation covering days, nights, and weekends as needed.
  • Provide administrative and educational guidance during on‑call duties and fill in for staffing issues or unexpected volumes.
  • Develop department processes and procedures; conduct audits and continuous coaching.
  • Serve as a resource for staff and ancillary departments while promoting service excellence.
  • Manage assigned projects and report process changes to Patient Access Leadership.
  • Participate in facility activities and gather statistical information.
  • Assist with staff evaluations and maintain the time/attendance system.
  • Attend facility and client meetings to ensure process alignment and communication.

Requirements
