Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Patient Access Operations Manager to oversee hospital registration, admissions, insurance verification, financial clearance, and patient placement. You will lead a team, conduct rounds and huddles, and provide real-time mentorship to ensure smooth patient access workflows.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years experience in Pre-service or Patient Access with supervisory or lead responsibilities.
• National certification in HFMA CRCR, NAHAM CHAA &/or NAHAM CHAM required within one year of hire.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a passion for team development.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a positive, solutions-focused approach.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional service and driving organizational success.

Responsibilities

• Oversee registration at the hospital and manage admissions, bed desk/patient placement, insurance verification, financial clearance, financial counseling, and point-of-service cash collections and reconciliation.
• Round with the team, conduct huddles, and provide real-time guidance and mentorship.
• Help the department meet fiscal year goals through strategic planning and execution.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency, implement best practices, and roll out patient-access initiatives.
• Assess training needs and ensure the team has the tools and knowledge to succeed.
• Partner with leadership and staff to foster accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
