Job summary

UCSF Health Mission Bay is seeking a Patient Access Services Manager to oversee admitting offices and related operations across MB. The role emphasizes process improvement, staffing development, and ensuring a high-quality patient experience in 24/7 environments.

You will lead cross-functional coordination, manage financial counseling and cash collections, and act as an ambassador of services while promoting a collaborative culture across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years healthcare operations experience.
• Strong managerial skills in planning, delegation, and financial management.
• Ability to analyze complex problems and implement solutions.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to foster a department culture of high‑quality service.
• On-site SF work and on-call availability.

Responsibilities

• Plan, perform and implement process-improvement initiatives.
• Own operational processes and measure performance.
• Support admissions registration, financial counseling and cash collections.
• Coordinate with Pediatric Access Center and ensure accurate patient data.
