Job summary

UCSF Health is seeking an Assistant Director, Community Hospitals Admissions and Registration to lead the Patient Access Services across multiple hospital locations. You will oversee admissions, registration, ED, and price estimates, driving operational excellence, financial stewardship, and 24/7/extended hour coverage.

You will design ADT and registration workflows, optimize the EMR and related systems, and partner with clinical and administrative leaders to deliver outstanding patient access

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related area.
• 7+ years healthcare management experience.
• Experience managing patient admissions, ED, registration and financial counseling.
• Strong knowledge of revenue cycle, billing systems and patient access workflows.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operational, financial, human, and other resources in patient access.
• Design and optimize ADT/Registration workflows.
• Oversee EMR and related systems for patient access operations.
• Collaborate with clinicians and administrative staff to improve patient experience and flow.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and strategic plans.
