Job summary

MedStar Georgetown University Hospital is seeking a Manager to lead Patient Access operations across Emergency Department Admissions, Outpatient Registration, Laboratory and Patient Placement, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and a compassionate patient experience in line with SPIRIT values.

You will supervise registration teams, enforce policy compliance, identify process improvements, coordinate with Bed Placement and other departments, and support staff development to deliver smooth admissions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Health Care Management, or related field required.
• 5-7 years experience in patient access, registration, billing, or related medical environment.
• 3-4 years supervisory experience in a health care setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee patient registration processes across multiple departments and systems.
• Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement them.
• Coordinate with Bed Placement and other departments to optimize admissions.
• Manage staff performance, training, and payroll records as needed.
