Job summary

The Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital is seeking a Manager, Patient Access Services to oversee daily registration, insurance verification, and financial clearance across key service areas, including ED and Admitting. You will lead Patient Access supervisors, fosters a culture of service excellence, and collaborate with Revenue Cycle, IT, and HR to drive operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Experience managing Patient Access or front-end revenue cycle operations in a hospital or large health system.
Knowledge of registration, insurance verification, and financial clearance processes.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Ability to work collaboratively in a matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

Manage daily Patient Access operations to ensure accurate registration, insurance capture, and compliance.
Monitor performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.
Identify workflow gaps and lead process improvements to boost efficiency and data integrity.
Oversee onboarding, education, and regulatory training including customer service standards.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments and ensure HIPAA compliance.
