Job summary

UofL Health is seeking a Patient Access Registrar for the Third Shift at the Med Center East location in Louisville, KY. The role interviews patients, collects demographic, guarantor and insurance data, and ensures proper billing information is captured.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and preferably at least one year of registration experience. Must maintain confidentiality and provide exceptional customer service to patients and staff alike.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year of registration experience preferred.
• Demonstrates dependable, professional demeanor and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Interview and register patients in a courteous, empathetic manner.
• Enter complete patient demographics, guarantor and insurance information accurately.
• Ensure forms for signatures, authorizations and consents are completed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to ensure accurate patient placement and billing.
