Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking an Intake Specialist in Denver, CO to coordinate referrals, review clinical documentation, and set up services accurately. You will work with patients, providers, referral sources, and internal teams to navigate insurance requirements, confirm eligibility, and move the intake process forward smoothly.

This role suits detail-oriented professionals who enjoy patient communication and collaborating across teams in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

1 year of relatable work experience required.
High School Diploma or Associate’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or equivalent.
Experience in management, administrative, clerical, insurance, billing, call center, or customer service preferred.
Experience in healthcare organization, pharmacy, HME, medical supply, or Medicare environment is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication with attention to detail.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office; healthcare systems a plus.
Ability to work independently following established procedures and directives.

Responsibilities

Review referrals and ensure eligibility and compliance prior to service.
Communicate with patients regarding financial responsibility and document interactions.
Coordinate with referral sources, physicians, and clinical teams to obtain complete documentation.
Enter referrals within established timeframes while meeting productivity and quality standards.
Support team operations and adhere to company policies and procedures.
