Job summary

Stanford Health Care is looking for a Manager of Patient Registration to lead both inpatient and outpatient registration operations and eligibility management. You will drive staff development, process standardization, and performance metrics to ensure accurate, timely patient data capture and compliant billing.

The role emphasizes 24/7 coverage, adherence to HIPAA and regulatory standards, and collaboration with internal departments to optimize patient flow and financial performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Health Administration from an accredited college or university.
• Five (5) years of related revenue cycle management experience; Prior supervisory/management experience
• Demonstrated familiarity with health care/hospital environment and registration processes
• Knowledge of patient flow, HR and performance management, Lean/Six Sigma concepts
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements including HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and Joint Commission standards
• Experience with EPIC registration and billing systems; strong business communication skills

Responsibilities

• Manages and trains a team of employees in both inpatient and outpatient settings; develops staff and training plans.
• Counsels, coaches and mentors staff to ensure registration accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensures registration functions are performed effectively and efficiently.
• Establishes a full-service registration approach from first contact to discharge.
• Maintains documentation of policies and procedures for staff guidance.
• Designs and monitors performance improvement processes to enhance quality and efficiency.
• Monitors registration data integrity and standardizes processes for 24/7 operations.
• Oversees point-of-service cash collections against revenue goals and reports regularly.
• Ensures compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payors; verifies eligibility and coverage.
