Job summary

LifePoint Harris Regional Hospital in Sylva, NC is hiring a Patient Access Manager to lead front-end operations, oversee registration and admissions workflows, and develop a high-performing team. You will drive policy development, ensure compliance, and partner with senior leadership on system-wide Patient Access initiatives.

The role requires 5+ years in healthcare with 3+ years in leadership, and a Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a healthcare setting with 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience leading Patient Access, Registration, or front-end Revenue Cycle teams.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a Patient Access team including Supervisors and front-line staff.
• Oversee daily patient registration, admissions, and access workflows for efficiency and accuracy.
• Coordinate activities to ensure smooth patient flow and timely processing.
• Develop and implement policies related to patient admissions and billing audit processes.
• Evaluate workflows to ensure efficient processing, bed utilization, and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain high service and performance standards across the department.
• Drive continuous improvements with senior leadership and system-wide Patient Access teams.
• Manage department budget and identify improvement opportunities.
• Provide HR leadership, coaching, and staff development.
• Represent Patient Access in meetings, committees, and cross-functional initiatives.
