Job summary

UnitedHealth Group in Chandler, AZ is hiring a Patient Access Lead on a full-time basis. This role serves as the first point of contact for provider inquiries and coordinates daily office activities and paperwork.

The position requires at least 2 years in customer problem solving and 1+ year in patient access/registration, with availability for Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm and 18+ years of age.

Qualifications

• 2+ years analyzing and solving complex customer problems.
• 1+ years in Patient Access/Registration.
• Able to work Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Leads or coordinates shift operations of assigned activities, resources, and staff.
• Serves as a technical or functional resource and performs similar duties with staff.
• Assigns, monitors, and reviews progress of work. Monitors and reports compliance with policies and/or procedures.
• Oversees and evaluates orientation and training of assigned associates.
• Identifies and corrects errors in registration information.
• Makes decisions on behalf of PAS management in their absence related to PAS policies and procedures.
• Explains the Payment and Billing Assistance Program to patients regardless of financial concerns.
• Identifies outstanding balances from patients' previous visits and attempts collection.
• Provides feedback for process improvements via audits and trends.
• Works on Special Projects as needed.
• Performs the duties of a Patient Access Specialist.
