Responsibilities

• Verify insurance benefits for outpatients at initial visit and as active patient.
• Oversee authorizations for treatment and retro authorizations as needed.
• Register patients in EMR at initial visit and prepare billing information.
• Answer and route telephone calls; provide information to staff and patients.
• Post charges and collect payments per hospital policies.
• Prepare monthly billing cycles and assist with end-of-month reconciliations.
