Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a hospital or medical office setting with registration knowledge.
• Knowledge of CPT and HCPCS codes.

Responsibilities

• Pre-register, schedule, cancel and reschedule patient appointments.
• Verify patient medical insurance benefits and eligibility; handle pre-authorizations.
• Document all account activity thoroughly; communicate payor requirements for compliance.
• Ensure referrals, pre-certifications and authorizations are on file and valid for procedures.
