Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• BLS certification through American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers (required).
• Experience with EMR systems, insurance verification, eligibility, and electronic billing.

Responsabilités

• Deliver a dynamic customer experience for all patients and demonstrate a commitment to service excellence.
• Obtain demographic, insurance, and medical information to ensure accurate registration.
• Perform insurance verification, data collection and documentation; determine medical necessity for services.
• Identify patient financial responsibilities and collect applicable monies; act as liaison to internal and external customers.
• Ensure documentation supports correct provider coding; apply CPT and ICD-10 codes and modifiers as required.
• Educate physicians and staff on documentation requirements for reimbursement; assist in internal audits of charges and documentation.
• Submit claims and address rejections; run daily insurance exception reports and correct errors.
• Adhere to Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care contract requirements; perform other duties as assigned.
