• Knowledge of health insurance plans and benefits interpretation.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and to work with sensitive information.
• Experience in a customer support role and strong communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard computer applications.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform insurance verification, data collection and documentation.
• Determine medical necessity for services based on established criteria.
• Identify patient financial responsibilities and collect payments.
• Serve as liaison to internal and external customers to facilitate access to hospital services.
• Secure all necessary documentation to register the patient visit.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
