Job summary

AdventHealth in Palm Coast, FL seeks a dedicated team member to perform Medicare compliance reviews, determine patient financial responsibility, and coordinate with insurance providers for pre-authorizations. You will register patients, gather demographic data, and collaborate with clinical and access teams to ensure a smooth patient experience.

This full-time role requires strong communication, HIPAA compliance, and familiarity with EMR systems, with opportunities for growth and ongoing

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Comfort with Medicare compliance tasks and insurance coordination.
• Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks accurately.

Responsibilities

• Perform Medicare compliance reviews and NI/BEN notices as needed.
• Create estimates for patient financial responsibility and collect payments.
• Coordinate with utilization management for pre-authorization issues.
• Verify eligibility and benefits with insurance companies and obtain pre-authorizations.
• Register patients for services and minimize medical record duplication.
• Capture accurate demographic and insurance information.
• Provide coverage across assigned work areas during shifts and relay coverage as needed.
• Facilitate communication among clinical, ancillary, and access departments.
• Document payer decisions and payment arrangements; maintain excellent customer service.
• Assist PBX as needed and perform cashiering and cash reconciliation.
