Job summary

Palmetto Infusion is seeking a Case Manager to onboard new patient referrals and guide cases from referral to scheduling. The role involves gathering information from the referring MD, reviewing benefits, and verifying medical necessity to ensure accurate authorizations.

Typical hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The team emphasizes compassionate patient care and collaboration, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements and patient advocacy while supporting PI's

Qualifications

• Onboard new patient referrals and manage cases through scheduling.
• Review benefits and verify insurance for infusion services.
• Verify medical necessity and document payer rationale.

Responsibilities

• Obtain information from MD offices for insurance authorizations.
• Support medical necessity review by examining payor policies and FDA guidelines.
• DOCUMENT in EMR system the rationale for approvals or denials.
• Collaborate with peers and management to improve processes.
