Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in Houston is seeking an ASR II to support patients with friendly service, handle check-in/out, and manage cashiering in Epic. You will gather demographics, explain wait times, verify insurance, print receipts, and coordinate with care teams to ensure accurate data and smooth patient flow.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year of in-person customer service, cash handling, and familiarity with Epic Front Desk.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ years of direct face-to-face customer service experience.
• 1+ years of cash handling or collections experience.
• 6+ months in a customer-facing medical/healthcare setting or related role.
• Experience with Epic Front Desk training or cross-training is a plus.
• Knowledge of basic math and computer skills (Word/Excel).
• Ability to handle confidential information and balance priorities.
• Professional demeanor and bilingual ability (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with check-in and check-out, ensuring accurate data entry in Epic.
• Provide friendly customer service and relay wait times to patients.
• Handle cash, collect co-pays, and issue receipts; reconcile daily totals.
• Answer phone inquiries and direct to appropriate departments as needed.
• Schedule appointments and manage registration tasks; maintain patient demographics and insurance information.
