Job summary

Lower Lights Christian Health Center in Newark, OH is seeking a front desk associate to greet patients, register arrivals, verify demographics, collect co-pays, and guide patients through a busy schedule across LLCHC sites.

You will handle insurance verification, sliding-fee documentation, and maintain accurate patient records while communicating with diverse patients, including non-English speakers, using interpretation tools as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (required).
• One to three years in a physician's office (required).
• Experience with cash handling is preferred.
• English/Spanish Fluency (preferred).
• Knowledge of medical terminology and professional office practice preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous and professional manner.
• Register patients on arrival, including ensuring complete paperwork and updating demographics.
• Verify and update patient insurances; manage sliding fee documentation as needed.
• Collect co-pays and enter into patient records accurately.
• Maintain appointment schedules and follow office scheduling procedures.
• Communicate with patients using interpreters as required (Cyracom, Propio, onsite interpreters).
• Adhere to LLCHC policies and site workflows.
• Keep the business office clean, safe, and organized.
