Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a clinical front desk environment.

Responsibilities

• Answers telephone promptly and directs calls to the appropriate area.
• Records messages accurately and forwards information in a timely manner.
• Enters patient demographics and insurance data into the computer as documented.
• Verifies insurance information, referrals and authorizations, and other forms as needed.
• Checks forms for completeness and correctness.
• Notifies the Office Coordinator when supply levels approach reorder points.
• Distributes mail and handles documents as needed.
• Schedules appointments and records them per practice policy.
• Processes daily receipts, journals, and deposits; handles petty cash.
• Supports front desk operations to maintain smooth patient flow.
