Prisma Health in Greenville Memorial Hospital seeks a Patient Registration role focused on collecting demographic and financial data, verifying insurance, and arranging payment options. This position emphasizes courteous, professional interaction and accurate data entry in our system.

The role supports the Medical Services Payment Program and requires at least a high school diploma and 2 years in Admissions/Billing/Collections or related customer service. Weekend shifts are included.

Qualifications

• Education requirement: High School diploma or equivalent or post-high school diploma/highest degree earned.
• Experience: Two years in Admissions, Billing, Collections, Insurance and/or Customer Service.
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Basic computer skills, mathematical skills, registration and scheduling experience preferred, familiarity with medical terminology preferred.

Responsabilités

• Interviews patient or other source to secure information for financial status and demographics.
• Verifies insurance coverage/benefits and documents information in the system.
• Receives payments and issues receipts, maintains cash funds/logs and conducts daily deposits.
• Prepares and distributes reports, documents and patient identification items as required.
• Communicates estimated financial responsibility to patients and refers to payment programs as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
