Job summary

Prisma Health is seeking a Patient Registration professional to collect demographic and financial information from patients. You will verify insurance, initiate pre-authorizations, collect payments, and set up financial arrangements in a courteous, professional manner.

Responsibilities include documenting information in the system, handling reports, and guiding patients on payments and assistance programs. Evening shift; located at Greenville Memorial Hospital’s Patient Registration department.

Qualifications

• Two years of Admissions, Billing, Collections, Insurance and/or Customer Service required.
• Education as stated: high school diploma or equivalent; post-high school preferred.
• Basic computer, math, and data-entry skills required.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to collect demographic and financial data.
• Verify insurance and initiate pre-authorization when required.
• Process payments and assist with financial arrangements and patient billing.
• Prepare reports and patient documents as needed.
• Inform patients about estimated financial responsibility and payment options.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
