Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, social work, public health, or related area may be preferred.
• No specific certifications required, but certifications in healthcare access or patient navigation are a plus.
• Certification in basic life support (BLS) or Heartsaver CPR AED is encouraged for staff with renewal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside and in-person support to patients for enrollment and financial counseling.
• Educate patients about coverage, deductibles, and out-of-pocket costs.
• Serve as liaison between care management, legal, and outsourced teams.
• Triage and elevate complex revenue cycle cases.
• Assist with hospital financial assistance applications.
• Connect patients with community and state programs for additional support.
• Accurately document interactions and support process improvement initiatives.
