Signature Health, Inc. is seeking a Patient Intake Specialist (Finance) to support seamless patient access and financial clearance.

You will verify insurance, complete registration, and help patients understand their financial responsibilities while coordinating scheduling and ensuring accurate billing information in the EHR. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent customer service, and the ability to collaborate with Patient Services and providers to resolve intake-related

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of office, customer service, or related experience required.
• 1-2 years of experience working with payer sources (Medicare/Medicaid/Commercial insurances) required.
• Previous experience in a primary care or behavioral health setting preferred.
• Experience working with an EHR system required; EPIC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify and complete patient registration including demographic, insurance, and financial information in the EHR.
• Perform in-depth insurance verification and benefit eligibility reviews.
• Educate patients on financial responsibilities including payments, co-insurance, co-pays, and balances.
• Assist patients with enrollment and education related to financial assistance programs.
• Coordinate scheduling needs and ensure provider schedules are effectively managed.
• Conduct outreach to patients via phone or electronic communication to resolve intake-related issues.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in all interactions.
