Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• 1–2 years in a high-volume clinical, financial, or service-intensive environment.
• Proficiency in Epic and intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong analytical, communication, accuracy and independent working abilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and resolve time-sensitive electronic work queues and reduce denials.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, including No Surprises Act and CMS guidelines.
• Perform complex insurance verification and financial clearance for admissions.
• Maintain and look up accurate patient data in the EHR and prevent duplicates.
• Provide financial counseling and discuss patient balances and payment plans.
• Collaborate across departments to standardize workflows across Rush campuses.
• Attend Epic training and support ongoing department objectives.
