Adventist HealthCare is seeking an experienced Patient Access ED Registrar to support Shady Grove Medical Center. The role focuses on creating patient records, verifying insurance, and driving timely cash collection while delivering compassionate, patient-centered service.

The position is part-time with rotating evenings and weekends, offering opportunities to contribute to mission-driven care in a faith-based health system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in hospital or doctor’s office preferred (6 months to 1 year).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Originate a patient medical record and account number with accurate demographic data.
• Complete insurance verification to maximize reimbursement.
• Achieve Point of Service collection goals and support departmental goals.
• Provide compassionate service and uphold organizational CSF values.
