Job summary

Children's Hospital Colorado in Aurora seeks a Patient Access Coordinator to support denial management, financial clearance, and escalation resolution for complex visits. You will analyze denial trends, prepare reports, and partner with multiple departments to drive improvements.

The role emphasizes training, guideline development (RAVE, verification, eligibility, scheduling), and collaboration across Patient Access, ambulatory services, and HIM. Hybrid, day shift with 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Four (4) years of revenue cycle, claim mitigation and account research, or patient access experience.
• Experience with denial management and data analysis is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Participates in Patient Access projects, researching root causes and proposing solutions affecting patient accounts and authorizations.
• Ensures compliance with healthcare regulations in daily tasks and projects.
• Maintains performance standards and contributes to team goals.
• Coaches teammates on challenging accounts and assists with training and meeting prep.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to address patient populations and trends and follows up on action items.
