HonorHealth is seeking a Counselor in Admitting Services Intake at Tempe Medical Center to ensure financial coverage for patients and manage insurance verification. The role involves Medicaid applications support, cashiering, and maintaining accurate ADT data in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Requires a High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of related experience; 2 years in hospital registration with customer service is preferred. Day shift, M-F, full-time position in Tempe, AZ.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year related experience required.
• 2 years hospital registration/related field with customer service experience/insurance verification preferred.
• Experience with Medicaid applications or DES processes is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Determine patient financial obligations and assist with Medicaid applications.
• Obtain and verify insurance coverage; assist with authorizations.
• Monitor accounts for accuracy and follow up on unverified/ pending items.
• Perform cashiering duties and post payments; balance cash drawer.
