Job summary

Guidehouse seeks a Patient Access Scheduler for the UAB St. Vincent's location in Birmingham, AL. This full-time, on-site role supports patient registration and scheduling for diagnostic procedures, coordinating with patients and staff.

You will assist with insurance pre-certification, provide pre-service instructions, and help ensure efficient use of clinical resources. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with possible census-based adjustments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in healthcare or customer service.
• Scheduler experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate admissions and schedule patient procedures.
• Register patients and explain regulations on admitting forms.
• Assist with insurance pre-certification/authorization and pre-service instructions.
